A Trip To Borobudur Temple
Last year, I spent my holiday in Jogjakarta. I went to
Borobudur Temple. My family and I went there early morning We went to Borobudur
Temple by bus. I had prepared everything before we went to Jogja. While
we were driving, we could see some beautiful views of mountains, forests, and
waterfalls. My family and I arrived at Borobudur Temple at 11:30 in the
afternoon. There, I saw many tourists. Borobudur Temple was crowded in that
holiday vacation. I could learn and practice speaking English with one of
foreign tourists. His name was Jack. He was very friendly. It was my first time
to speak English with foreign tourist. We went back at 04:30 in the evening. It
was a very interesting vacation

Recount Text adalah salah satu jenis text dalam bahasa Inggris yang menceritakan kembali tentang kejadian-kejadian atau pengalaman-pengalaman di masa lampau. Tujuan dari Recount Text adalah untuk memberikan informasi atau untuk menghibur pembaca sehingga tidak terdapat konflik.
1. Macam-macam Recount Text :
a. Personal Recount
Yaitu menceritakan tentang pengalaman pribadi penulis
b. Factual Recount
Yaitu laporan peristiwa yang benar-benar terjadi, seperti laporan percobaan ilmu pengetahuan, laporan kepolisian.
c. Imaginative
Yaitu membuat cerita imaginative lalu menuliskan peristiwa atau kejadian yang telah terjadi.
2. Struktur Recount Text adalah sebagai berikut :
a. Orientation
Yaitu pengenalan berupa memberikan informasi tentang siapa, dimana dan kapan peristiwa atau kejadian itu terjadi di masa lampau.
b. Events
Yaitu merupakan rekaman peristiwa yang terjadi, biasanya disampaikan dalam urutan kronologis, seperti : "In the first day... . And in the next day... . And in the last day... ." Pada bagian ini terdapat juga komentar pribadi tentang peristiwa atau kejadian yang diceritakan.
c. Reorientation
Yaitu pengulangan pengenalan yang ada di orientation, pengulangan tentang rangkuman peristiwa atau kejadian yang diceritakan.
3. Ciri Kebahasaan Recount Text
Pada saat membaca Recount Text, akan ditemukan ciri-ciri kebahasaan sebagai berikut :
a. Menggunakan kalimat dalam bentuk Past Tense.
Contoh : We went to Bandung last year, I was very happy.
b. Menggunakan Action Verbs.
Contoh : went, bought, wrote, slept, dll.
c. Menggunakan Adverbs and Adverbial Phrase untuk mengungkapkan waktu, tempat dan cara.
Contoh : yesterday, at school, quickly, dll.
d. Menggunakan Conjunction dan Time Connectives untuk mengurutkan peristiwa atau kejadian.
Contoh : but, and, after that, dll.
4. Contoh Recount Text
Orientation
I spent my holiday in Jogjakarta last year. I went to Prambanan Temple with my family early in the morning.
Events
We went to Prambanan Temple by bus and arrived at 01.00 in the afternoon. I saw many foreign tourists there. I spoke English with them. Their name are Andrew and Peter. They were very friendly. They came from New York. Prambanan Temple was crowded in holiday. We went back at 07.00 in the evening.
Reorientation
It was a very interesting holiday.

My Mother
I have a mother, her
name is Sunarsih.
Mother's favorit foods
and drink are all vegetables and fruits and Alpukat juice. My Mother do not
like to eat eggs.
She is so beautiful. Her
hair is straight and black. She also has brown skin. My Mother is Good Mother.

Ingredients of nasi goreng:
- 4 cups cold cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 egg , lightly beaten
- 5 shallots , peeled and sliced
- 2 cloves garlic , peeled and sliced
- 3 red chilies , sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried shrimp paste
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- sliced cucumber (to garnish)
- sliced tomato (to garnish)
- 8 ounces sliced chicken or 8 ounces sliced pork or 8 ounces medium shrimp , shelled,deveined and chopped (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cabbage (optional)
How to Make nasing goreng recipe:
- Stir the rice with a fork to separate the grains.
- Pour a small amount of oil in a wok and fry the egg to make a thin omelet; cool, then shred.
- Heat the remaining oil in the wok and fry the shallots, garlic, chilies and shrimp paste until the shallots are tender (if adding any meat or shredded cabbage to this dish, add now and cook until meat is cooked through).
- Increase the heat to high and add the rice, salt and soy sauce, adding a little oil if necessary, stirring constantly until well mixed and heated through.
- Garnish with shredded egg, cucumber, and tomato.
- Serve with fried egg, fried chicken, satay, and tasty, (in the traditional style), if desired.
